H-Labor is a member of H-Net, an independent internationalconsortium of scholars hosted by Michigan State University. H-Labor is open to scholars, students, teachers and librarians, and all who want to participate in an academic discussion of the history of workers and their organizations. They can raise research questions, open scholarly dialogue, provide information about conferences and symposia, discuss teaching materials and report non-commercial book announcements. H-Labor publishes commissioned book reviews and carries news and reports about contemporary labor issues. On its web page http://www.h-net.msu.edu/~labor,readers will find logs containing prior discussions, book reviews, and other matters of interest.

H-Labor is a moderated list. All messages are received by the moderator who reserves the right to see that the list remains devoted to its mission. The current moderators are
