This is an issue much discussed on H-RUSSIA some while ago, but I
cannot
easily pinpoint when.  Perhaps someone who participated in the earlier
thread can direct Judy to the appropriate logs on our web site.

Can anyone give me good sources on why the exile of the
Tsar and his family never took place. I have read
books on the English sentiments of the Russian people
and understand some of the political and social
complications in England. But, I feel like I'm missing
something.  Any and all opinions and analysis of the time
will be accepted and appreciated.
