Sent: Fri 1/5/2007 2:14 PM I don't know how helpful this is, but the following is an article from the New York Times, dated 19/10/2006, by Stephanie Rosenbloom, entitled "Good Girls Go Bad, for a Day". It is on the "sexualised costumes" which young women wear for Halloween. According to one comedian mentioned in the article, Halloween is now "Dress like a whore day". The article mentions several names: these people may well know when the French maid outfit was sexualised.
