On sexuality in Nazi Germany: for something completely different, try Gad
Beck, An Underground Life: Memoirs of a Gay Jew in Nazi Germany, just out
in English from the University of Wisconsin Press.  Beck himself -- quite a
character -- will be lecturing in New York for the Leo Baeck Institute on
Monday October 18 (Congregation Habonin, 44 West 66 Street, NYC, 7:30PM).
