One possible source might be the offices of *Herold*, a section of the
Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preussischer Kulturbesitz in Berlin/Dahlem.  They
keep records on German aristocratic families and on heraldry, and thus
would be a plausible location.  At least they might be able to suggest
someone else to contact.
