Submitted by: Raffael Scheck (rmscheck@colby.edu) I would like to thank all the contributors for their answers to my query about Kleinrentner after 1924. Interestingly, I never found the female politicians of the DVP and DNVP mentioning the fact that two thirds of the Kleinrentner were women. This reflects on the twisted attitude toward interest politics of so many leading women in the two parties, which is at the center of the argument in my book manuscript. Although the female politicians were widely regarded as an interest group of women, they always claimed to do politics above and beyond special interests and felt ambivalent toward representing the economic interests even of women's groups.
