Greta Ai-Yu Niu's post made me think of "Picture Bride," which I don't
recall seeing among the various suggestions up to this point.  For those
of you who haven't seen it, the movie follows the life of a Japanese
woman in the 1920's who has an arranged marriage with a sugar
cane harvester in Hawaii.
