                             Exodus And Exile:
                  Refugees, Migration and Global Security
        The 1998 EPIIC International Symposium at Tufts University
                         February 26-March 1, 1998

Over 70 policymakers, practitioners, academics, and journalists will be
gathered for four days to explore the forces behind human migration and
displacement, as well as preventive strategies, creative resolutions and
possible interventions. The symposium will feature such individuals as: Dr.
Francis Deng, The Special Representative for the United Nations
Secretary-General on Internally Displaced Persons and the Acting Chairman
of the African Leadership Forum; Sarah Sewell, Former United States Deputy
Assistant Secretary of Defense for Peacekeeping; Morris Miller, Former
Executive Director of the World Bank; Robert DeVecchi, President Emeritus
of the International Rescue Committee; and Monique Mujawamariya, Rwandan
Human Rights Activist, Human Rights Watch.
