COMPLETED DOCTORATES A quarterly feature for H-Education The editorial and advisory board of H-Education wants to recognize and congratulate newly-minted PhDs who have taken for their research interest topics in educational history. All of the following dissertations/theses were for scholars completing PhDs or EdDs or equivalent doctoral degrees in 2007 or 2008, according to the UMI database. The usual caveats apply: your definition of educational history may not include/exclude the same titles from the database; titles can be misleading; I only read English, but would welcome references to doctoral works in other languages. We'll gather cites for other 2007-2008 completed doctoral dissertations/theses for posting in the next batch of these, which will happen on the summer solstice (that's the "quarterly" I'm following--equinoces and solstices--handy as any other system, and guarantees that they won't coincide with the first of the month new article listings we already do).
