> I am a collector/reader of DC history books, but have only glanced at the text at the library. I looked up Alexander Crummell, founder of St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 15th and P St, NW and namesake of the Crummell School in Ivy City. Unfortunately, the text refered to him as "Cromwell" - another historic DC figure, but not the same man. I was disappointed that the only mention of this important man was inaccurate, and that there was no other mention relating to the neighbhorhood of my interest - Ivy City. > -- Matthew Gilmore H-DC list co-editor, web editor dc-edit@mail.h-net.msu.edu http://www2.h-net.msu.edu/~dclist/ [list website] http://www2.h-net.msu.edu/lists/subscribe.cgi?list=H-DC [subscribe to H-DC] Remember to check http://h-net.msu.edu/cgi-bin/logbrowse.pl?trx=lm&list=h-dc for past list messages.
