H-ASIA August 25, 2003 Research Mini-Grants: Religion and Politics in South Asia ************************* From: email@example.com (Eduardo Contreras) Outreach Office Center for Asian Studies, The University of Texas at Austin announces Research Mini-Grants on RELIGION and POLITICS IN SOUTH ASIA The Center for Asian Studies is now accepting applications from community college, junior college, university faculty and K-12 system educators and administrators to conduct research on a topic related to the theme of "RELIGION and POLITICS IN SOUTH ASIA." Several grants of up to $1000.00 each are available to help cover travel, lodging, and meal expenses. Recipients will be appointed as Visiting Scholars during their stay at UT-Austin and will have access to library and computational facilities. Research trips may be conducted at any time after the grant award up to December 5, 2003. Applicants should send a letter describing their proposed research, indicate their preferred dates for a visit, and include a curriculum vita that includes a list of the courses they teach. Mini-grant recipients of the last five years are not eligible. All applicants must presently reside and teach in the United States.
