H-ASIA
*************
From: "Lester Ness" <lesterness@hotmail.com>
Dear H-Asia members,
Changchun University of Technology wants to hire two English teachers for the
upcoming
academic year, beginning 25 August. They would teach 16 hours in the classroom
each week,
plus join in English Corner conversations one hour each week. In return, they
would receive
3000-4000 RMB yuan each month, depending on academic degrees, a furnished
apartment,
basic medical care, 2 vacations with vacation allowances and a plane ticket
home. It is a good
opportunity for a young person who has recently graduated from college or a
recently retired
person in good health. It is a particularly good opportunity for a beginning
China scholar.
Changchun is the capital of Jilin Province, PR China. It has a
climate similar to Minneapolis, USA or Saskatoon, Canada. With
approx. 2.5 million people, it has most of the modern conveniences.
It is a relatively new city for China, known primarily as the capital
of Japan's colony, Manchukuo, and as the center of the Chinese auto
industry.
If anyone is interested, they may contact me at lesterness@hotmail.com
or Richard Kang at Richard_kang2002@yahoo.com .
