Brief description of college
Qinghai Junior Teachers' College was founded in 1958. Its purpose is to
train teachers for Qinghai Province, located in China's Northwest.
Located in the eastern part of Xining City, capital of Qinghai Province,
Qinghai Junior Teachers' College is situated on an attractive campus.
Number of hours to be taught
The teacher is expected to teach 12-16 hours weekly.
Students
The students the foreign teacher will teach are around 40 per class.
Housing conditions
The teacher will be housed on campus in an apartment furnished with a
bedroom, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a bathroom, central
heating, a telephone, TV, etc, within a 60 second walk of classrooms
where she will teach. There is no charge for rent and electricity, water,
and winter heating are also free.
Salary
teachers RMB 2200
experts RMB 3200
RMB 50 telephone allowance per month per person
2,200 rmb/year travel allowance
Train or plane fare from and to Xining from the entry port in China will
be paid.
There is no international airfare
General Description of Qinghai Province
Qinghai Province, located in the western part of China, is a developing
province with an altitude of 2,300 m and covers an area of 720,000 square
kilometers. There are 5 minorities: Hui, Tu, Tibetan, Mongolian, and
Salar. It is famous for Qinghai Lake, Taer Lamasery (Kumbum) and the
other beautiful scenes. It is rich in natural resources and it is the
source of the Yellow River, Yangtze River and the Lancang River. Its
culture is unique. Its people are hospitable. Under the policy of
Developing the West, Qinghai has developed rapidly. It is belived that
Qinghai will have a bright future.
General Description of Xining City
Xining City, capital of Qinghai province, is the centre of ecnomics,
politics and culture of the province. It lies in the eastern part of
Qinghai Province and has a population of 1 million. It is the key city
in the process of developing West. More and more foreign friends come to
Xining to work, study and visit.
