Stanely Nadel remarks that the settlers who celebrated the Goldstein Hebron massacre "are practitioners of a violent racist nationalism which can easily (sic) be compared to that of the Nazi thugs who perpetrated the Nazi holocaust". I don't object to Stanley characterizing some Hebron settlers as "violent racist nationalis[ts] - though I think he is mistaken in some respects about that - but I do object to his "easy" comparison of them with Nazi murderers. As I have said in another posting sent today, that comparison is extremely dangerous and falls into the pit of antisemitism by equating the murderes with the victims. I hope that this remark will not be taken as a personal attack, but rather an appeal to Stanley and others - including Zimmermann - to draw back from a perniciously ironic delusion.
