For those of you who do not know, I regret to bring you news of the
death of Dr. Robert Mundt. Bob was an active scholar and advocate of
Africa. In the Southeast he was both an active member and one-time
coordiantor of SERSAS. At UNCC he served most recently as Dean of The
Graduate School and Associate Vice Chancellor for Graduate Programs.
All of us who knew him admired him as a scholar, as a teacher, and as
a friend. Our deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Carol, to
their children, Michelle, John, and Angela, and their grandchild,
Caitlin Elizabeth.
Memorials in honor of Dean Mundt may be made either to the Leukemia
and Lymphoma Society, 5950 Fairview Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC
28210; or to the UNC Charlotte Foundation, Development Office, UNC
Charlotte.
