I would like to inform the list of the death of Christopher
Gray, who taught African history at Florida International
University. I am not the best person to write of Chris as I
only met him a few years ago, and have read little of his
work. Perhaps Phyllis Martin might want to write something
about him.
Chris worked on Gabon. I first met him at the French
Canadian Historical Society. I liked his mind and looked
forward to real contribution from him. His death at a young
age from cancer is a tragic loss.
