.IQ is not necessarily related to nutrition. Babies born during WWII famine >in Holland do not have lower IQs than babies born in normal times. We are >talking about extreme famine conditions, please note. I do not understand Bob's argument that IQ doesn't exist. Could we not just as easily argue that gravity doesn't exist. Steve Tripp ci52@UKANVAX.BITNET >>>>>>>> Steve... I think your mixing apples and corn (an Iowa pun) ..... How we think about IQ is based upon the Test. The test is a social construction which works within a certain context or system. IQ is not real it is constructed. And in ways.. how we understand the physical world is also from a certain perspective... a system of knowing.... for knowing..... change the way of knowing and we understand a different world. I think to discuss raising IQ scores without understanding them socially and historically.... their connection to social engineering.... how and why they are used,... and who benefited from them.... is empty.... maybe we should discuss why we care about Japan's IQ average.... or why we should care about how well they do in math..... and what does it mean to do well on an IQ test... and if we all do well..... opps there goes the averages..... !! bob muffoletto email@example.com
