While it is true that the "national IQ" could be raised by several methods, we cannot be certain that any of these methods were actually used. If the median IQ score has actually risen when measured by the same instrument and using the same methodology, then perhaps _something_ has occured. Since, IQ does not measure inate intelligence, but it does correlate well with success in school (at least in the US), it would be good to know if there has been an actual change or a change in procedure.
