Ph.D. in Political Science or Public Administration must be completed by June 30, 2010. Primary teaching responsibilities are graduate courses in our NASPAA accredited MPA program. Teaching duties include regularly offering a course on either Financial Management or Public Personnel Management (both of which are core courses). The successful candidate also should be able to teach MPA and Political Science electives. Work experience in the public sector is also desirable. We offer a 3-2 teaching load for the first three years. After a successful Third Year Review, a one-semester sabbatical is available in the fourth year and the 3-2 teaching load may be continued for another three years contingent on the publication record. Preference will be given to applicants who provide evidence of teaching effectiveness and show promise of a strong record of publication. Applicants must apply on-line at http://jobs.villanova.edu.
