Since 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided more than 286,000 participants from over 155 countries with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research, to exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns. For more information, visit **http://fulbright.state.gov/**.* *Fulbright Scholar Program for US Faculty and Professionals for 2010-2011 is open* The Fulbright Scholar Program offers *61 grants in* *lecturing, research or combined* *lecturing/research awards in public administration, including 1 Fulbright Distinguished Chair and the Middle East and North Africa Regional Research Program*. Even better, faculty and professionals in public administration also can apply for one of the *144* “*All Discipline*” awards open to all fields. What does Fulbright offer in public administration? Here are a few of the awards for 2010-2011: *Northern and Eastern Europe:* There are specific public administration awards in Albania, Kosovo, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Ukraine as well as the Social Science awards in Bosnia, Azerbaijan, and Russia and the All Discipline awards in Georgia and Moldova. Also, see Award #0246 in Finland. *Southern and Western Europe:* Multiple awards in the Czech Republic including Award #0237 – Masaryk Award (NGO Management); Award #0396 – Social Sciences and Humanities in Turkey; Award #0295 – Urban Planning/Social Inclusion in Ireland. *Western Hemisphere:* In addition to the Canada-Mexico Joint Award in North American Studies, there are multiple awards in Canada (#0518, #0567, #0568) as well as opportunities in Argentina (#0506), Panama (#0553) and Mexico (#0545). *Sub-Saharan Africa:* Award #0078 – Business or Public Administration in Mali; awards in Ghana (#0067), South Africa (#0103), Ethiopia (#0065) and Botswana (#0048, #0050). * * The application deadline is August 1, 2009.
