Mr. Black's World History: Learning Tools http://www.worldhistoryteacher.org/student_forum/learning_tools.htm Provides links to Learning Styles Inventories such as Carl Jung's Learning Styles and Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences. In addition, I've had positive results with using Thinking Maps as end of unit assessments. The Flow of History http://www.flowofhistory.com/units The graphic organizers that accompany each lecture are effective for helping students understand cause-and-effect relationships. (How do world historians think differently?) 2) What is unique about the types of questions that world historians ask? 3) What is world history? Write a collaborative definition. 4) What makes 'world history' different from other history that you have studied in school before? 5) What are the benefits of studying history? (Why is taught in schools?)
