You may already be familiar with this database but I want to recommend - to everyone - a really wonderful resource in the Northwest Digital Archives, which can be found at http://nwda.wsulibs.wsu.edu/. (My quick search for Leighton produced a few hits.) I've used this site often when hunting for sources and I really like it because it provides finding aids to collections. NWDA is a consortium of regional archives from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska. Happy hunting! Veta Schlimgen PhD Candidate Department of History University of Oregon
