"The Research Society for American Periodicals (RSAP) is pleased to announce the EBSCOhost-Research Society for American Periodicals book prize. The EBSCOhost-RSAP Prize is a $1,500 award that recognizes the best single-authored monograph on American periodicals written by a senior, pre-tenure, or independent scholar. Applicants to the EBSCOhost-RSAP prize must be current members of RSAP when they submit their books. The book must have been published by an academic press between January 1, 2007 and December 1, 2009. The prize will be awarded at the American Literature Association (ALA) conference in San Francisco, CA, May 27-30, 2010. Books will be judged by a peer review of three scholars chosen by the RSAP Advisory Board. Applicants should submit a registration form, and THREE copies of their book, to Jean Lee Cole, Department of English, Loyola University Maryland, 4501 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21210 by December 1, 2009. RSAP encourages submissions not only from individual authors but from press editors as well. Submissions are not limited to work utilizing electronic databases. The winner and two honorable mentions will be notified by January 15, 2010 and will be honored at an RSAP-sponsored event at ALA 2010.
