Dear Colleagues: An intensive seminar in all aspects of modern documentary editing techniques, the Editing Institute includes lectures and presentations by experts on various topics relating to documentary editing. This year's topics will include: starting an editing project in the electronic era, document selection and annotation; transcription; indexing, publishing in both book and electronic formats; fundraising, and promoting the edition. While at the Institute, interns will be able to consult with the three resident advisors. More specific information about this year's Institute, which will be conducted from July 19th through July 24th, may be obtained from the NHPRC staff.
