 I have read many times of the ordnance-clearance workers who
continue to die from First World War munitions, but this
story may be unique: a casual visitor to a battlefield whose
life is ruined, and who gets government benefits as a
"mutilée dans la guerre."

Of course, there will be victims in Angola and Cambodia for
decades to come, and it is unlikely they will received
skilled medical treatment.
