Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, British Columbia: Graduate Diploma in Urban Studies The Graduate Diploma program in Urban Studies (GDUS) is an interdisciplinary program that provides an opportunity to study the city and its functions from several perspectives. The program is aimed at those with a background in the urban professions as well as those who would simply like to learn more about cities. The Graduate Diploma in Urban Studies provides a strong foundation in various urban-related disciplines and emphasizes the application of these disciplines to real-world problems and situations. The GDUS is offered at the University's Harbour Centre campus, located in the core of British Columbia's principal urban, national, and international centre. The program draws particularly on Vancouver's experience but also encompasses study of cities in other places and from other times. A proposal to develop a Masters in Urban Studies is currently under consideration.
