CALL FOR PAPERS: TURKISH FOEIGN POLICY IN 2000s. *Insight Turkey* is calling for papers for its Winter2014 (1) issue with a focus on Turkish Foreign Policy under the Justice and Development Party since 2002. There is a lively debate on various aspects of Turkish foreign policy over the past decade ranging from the strategic depth doctrine to neo-Ottomanism; role of civil society in foreign policy making to Turkey's increased international role; regional strategic competition to zero problems with neighbors. It is observed that political stability and economic growth enabled Turkey to establish closer political relations with its neighboring countries and expand its horizons in Africa, the Balkans, Central Asia and South America in addition to Europe and US. *Insight Turkey* intends to focus on transformation of Turkish foreign policy in the last decade under the AK Party and address challenges that Turkey and its immediate neighborhood face. The articles and commentaries are expected to examine the following topics. Ideology and Turkish Foreign Policy Turkey, the New Security Architecture, Nuclear Arms What/how did the AK Party change in Turkish Foreign Policy? Trajectory of Turkish-EU Relations Turkish-US Relations under the AK Party: A Model Partnership? Turkey's Regional Politics: What the new priorities and challenges are? Turkish Foreign Policy towards the Middle East/the Gulf/Central Asia/Africa/the Balkans/Caucasia/South-East Asia Turkish-Russian Relations Turkey and the Arab World: The Arab Awakening Turkish-Israeli Relations Turkey-Iran Relations Turkey's Syria Policy: A Failure of a Success? Turkey and the Kurds in the Middle East (Iraq, Syria and Iran) Terrorism and Turkish Foreign Policy The Cyprus issue Development and Turkish Foreign Policy Turkey and the NATO Turkey and Regional Energy Policies Articles will undergo a peer-review process before publication. Articles should be 5,000-6,000-word essays that present findings of research or analysis and comments run around 2,500-3,500words.
