Hi,

Mikhail Burayk, a Greek Orthodox resident of 18th century Damascus,
mentions the 1755 Lisbon Earthquake in his book called Ta'rikh
al-Sham.

Dr. Yaron Ayalon analyzed Burayk's work in his PhD thesis. His article
published in IJMES also contains info about the 1755 Lisbon
Earthquake.
