Hello! I will be teaching the first term of the U.S. history survey course, for the first time in some years. I have developed a "game" to encourage students to arrive on time. I play a short clip of a piece of music at the start of class that is related to the theme of the day. If the class works together and tells me two important facts about the music, the whole class earns one extra credit point. Music, to say the least, is not my forte. What music could I play for the first term of the U.S. history survey course?
