Beecher House Center for the Study of Equal Rights and Wilberforce Institute for the study of Slavery and Emancipation will be hosting the 4th Documenting Venture Smith Conference Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5, 2009, in Hartford Connecticut FRIDAY: C T DEP auditorium, 79 Elm Street, Hartford from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM There will be a reception after, with wine and light food from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at The Lyceum, 227 Lawrence St., Hartford SATURDAY: The Lyceum, 227 Lawrence St., Hartford from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM This event will include: papers on new research and discoveries, video screenings, panel and poster exhibits, book sales with author signings, and discussion groups.
