Date: Thu, 17 Nov 2005 17:15:52 -0600 From: Paul Finkelman <firstname.lastname@example.org> Does anyone have a handy cite (and full quotation) for Jefferson's reference to the sedition act crisis as a "reign of witches." More complicated and difficult: Is there anyone who has a cite to TJ's pardoning of those convicted under the act? I have never been able to find this in the Messages of he Presidents or anywhere else. On line or off-line answers as you wish. Thanks in advance. -- Paul Finkelman Chapman Distinguished Professor of Law University of Tulsa College of Law 3120 East 4th Place Tulsa, OK 74104-3189 918-631-3706 (office) 918-631-2194 (fax) email@example.com ----- End forwarded message -----
