Eurasia Dissertation Support Fellowships are intended to support and sustain American expertise on the countries of Eurasia by providing financial and academic assistance to graduate students near completion of their doctoral programs. Fellowship awards are designed to allow advanced graduate students concentrated time to write up the results of their research. In addition to financial assistance, the fellowship program will provide academic support and networking opportunities at two fellows' workshops. These workshops will offer several training sessions explicitly geared towards advanced graduate students, and allow fellows to present their work in an interdisciplinary setting with their peers and renowned resource faculty. Fellowship awards of up to $25,000 provide support for the 2010-2011 academic year (9 months). Fellows will also be required to attend two workshops (Fall 2010 and Fall 2011). The funding for this fellowship program is provided by the Department of State, Bureau of Intelligence and Research, Office of Outreach Title VIII Program for Research and Training on Eastern Europe and Eurasia (Independent States of the Former Soviet Union). WHO CAN APPLY?
