The Adaptation Area this year encompasses traditional approaches to film
adaptation,
including
* Adaptation theory
* Novel to film adaptation
* Film to film adaptation
* Genre adaptation (homage, parody, etc)
* Stage to screen adaptation (excluding Shakespeare)
* Video games, songs, cartoons, graphic novels and comic books to film
adaptation as well as broader interpretations of the term adaptation,
including films which translate culture into cinema through adaptations of
* The American West
* Political or religious ideology
* History
* Biography
* Race, gender, sexuality

vitae, a working bibliography for the presentation, and a 250-word
abstract.
