The journal Northwest Ohio History is actively seeking unpublished
scholarship
addressing Northwest Ohio's political, military, social, economic,
cultural, and
ethnic history.
Northwest Ohio History (formerly the Northwest Ohio Quarterly) is a
regional
journal of history and culutre published by the Maumee Valley Historical
Society and edited out of the History Department at Bowling Green State
University. Published continuously since 1928, the journal features
scholarly
essays, book reviews, and edited primary documents relating tot he Maumee
Valley, Northwest Ohio, the Western Basin of Lake Erie, and surrounding
regions.
The journal is interested in all periods of Northwest Ohio's history,
from the
prehistoric to the modern era. Because of the periodical's broad-ranging
interests, the journal particularly welcomes submissions based upon
interdisciplinary scholarship.
Northwest Ohio History is a refereed periodical. Submissions will be
evaluated
upon scholarship, originality, interpretation, and the articles
appropriateness
to the journal's regional interests.
Articles submitted to Northwest Ohio History should generally be no
more than
twenty to thirty pages in length. Internal documentation should be in the
form
of endnotes. Matters of style, grammar, and format should conform to the
standards set out in the Chicago Manuael of Style.
