I began teaching online in 2007, a course entitled Introductory Sociology. In 2008 I added some eight week accelerated courses for criminal justice majors. In the future, I am interested in doing some "blended education" and monitoring the performance of my classes utilizing four different methods (traditional 16 week face to face, 16 week online, 16 week blended ed, and 8 week accelerated). I have to admit that sometimes I feel isolated as an instructor without much of a support system. It is a parallel of sorts to how the student can feel isolated and alone while taking online courses. I hope by joining this group I can lose that feeling of being all alone, and maybe I can be of some support and encouragement to those that have already joined. Stan Weeber
