[Editor's note: the question below from A. Morton was forwarded to the list by Cathy Goulet. Please send responses to firstname.lastname@example.org, with a copy to the list if you are so inclined.] = = = I have a souvenir spoon- 250th. anniversary of Newark which has dates 1666-1916 on it, as well as a small figure with the name Robert Treat. The spoon is in excellent condition. I understand Robert Treat was the founder of Newark. What is confusing me is that according to the internet, Newark is only just celebrating its 250th anniversary this year. Is this something to do with year of incorporation or something like that? Furthermore, I would like to know if this spoon is of any value, historically and/or monetarily. In Canada, I don't think it would any great value but since you are celebrating another 250 years it might be of some worth. I would appreciate it if you could inform me about this or give me a contact name who could provide me with this information. Thank you A. Morton
