Recent subscribers to H-NEAsia include: Joey Cleveland; National University of Mongolia; Mongolian and Manchu I've completed a bachelor's degree in history and I'm doing language training in Mongolian and Manchu languages at the National University of Mongolia. I've subscribed primarily to get information on new publications and conferences and perhaps also as a way to meet other people interested in Central Asian Studies. Charles M. Dobbs; Iowa State University; U.S.-East Asian relations I am interested to see the state of the field, so to speak, and to learn from colleagues active in the field. Alexander C. Y. Huang; Pennsylvania State University; Culture, Theatre, and Film Studies I am an Assistant Professor of Asian Studies, Chinese and Comparative Literature at Penn State University. I am currently working on humor and modern Chinese culture. I look forward to contributing to and learning from the H-NEAsia community about transnational issues involving the region and the West. Yun Mi Hwang; University of St Andrews; Film Studies I'm a PhD student at University of St Andrews, UK. My thesis is on South Korean historical/costume films. I'm also interested in issues of de-colonisation, memory studies, history and heritage, gender, and transnational Asian cinema.
