With the DVD release of GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra this week,
Cinematical.com has a list of '80s recruitment movies' that starts
with Private Benjamin. I have lots to say about GI Joe and women in
uniform, but I'll save that for another time (unless someone wants to
get things going on the topic of portrayals of military women in pop
culture?).
