Sent: 18 November 2009 10:58 in the Mustatraf there is a section called "fi dhikr al-qaynat wa l-aghani", II volume, pp. 325-335. Maybe the passage you are looking for is there. Alternatively, there is also a section about women, II volume, pp. 467-499, but judging from the titles it seems to touch mainly upon misogyny. The edition I am referring to is the two-volume publication by Dar al-Kutub al-ilmiyya, Bayrut 1406/1986, ed. Mufid Muhammad Qumayha. In 2007-2008 Ca' Foscari University in Venice started a project of indexingsome adab encyclopedias creating a database, but it has now been suspended.
