Sent: 05 November 2009 14:16 Each year the Board of Directors of MEM offers a prize of $250 for the best graduate student paper on a medieval topic at the annual Middle East Studies Association meeting. The winner is announced at the annual business meeting of MEM, held in conjunction with MESA. One need not be a member of MEM to be considered for this prize. Graduate Students who are scheduled to present a paper on a medieval topic at MESA-2009 and who wish to have their contributions considered for the 2009 prize should submit a copy of the paper they will present at MESA (not to exceed 15 pages!)to the MEM secretary at: judds1@southernct.edu<mailto:judds1@southernct.edu<mailto:judds1@souther nct.edu%3cmailto:judds1@southernct.edu>> Deadline for submissions is November 12, 2009.
