The SMA is soliciting nominations (self-nominations are welcome) for
Advisory Board members for the h-net Medical Anthropology listserv.
H-net med anthro (http://www.h-net.org/~medanthro/)
has over 1300
members and is a key resource for communication among Medical
Anthropologists around the world.

Advisory Board members serve two year terms, during which they help to
select listserv editors (who, in turn, moderate the list on a
day-to-day basis), oversee the general functioning of the listserve, and
participate in planning for the listserv's future. This position
entails a very limited workload, but enables you to shape the future of
a key conduit for communication within our subfield.

To apply, submit:

1) a paragraph stating your qualifications for the position; this can be
a concise statement of pertinent publications, service, or teaching
experience that demonstrates to the nonspecialist that the nominee is
sufficiently acquainted with the field to be able to act as a member of
the board; and

2) a brief statement of your plans to advance the list, to
csargent@artsci.wustl.edu by December 15, 2009.
