Sent: Wednesday, September 23, 2009 11:54 AM Walking Tour of Brookmont: Saturday, October 10 at 10:00 WHAT: Take a walking tour of Brookmont. This neighborhood just north of the District line along MacArthur Blvd is not as well known as its neighbor Glen Echo but is equally rich in history. Barbara Torrey and Clara Myrick Green, co-authors of the recently published book Brookmont, will lead the tour of this hidden gem. WHEN: Saturday, October 10 from 10:00-11:30 WHERE: Meet at 4103 Maryland Avenue (Off MacArthur Blvd north of Sangamore Rd.) COST: $6/$3 for MCHS members and Brookmont residents. Reservations required. For more information or to make reservations go to www.montgomeryhistory.org or call 301-340-2825.
