Dear Colleagues: Ok, I know I abuse/use this list a lot. And this won't be for the last time! Whenever I finish my book, H-Levant will get a huge acknowledgement. You all are incredibly responsive to my seemingly endless requests for information. In reading some of the voluminous (American) missionary documents I am working with, one person wrote (in 1928) about her students "working in the Armenian camp." This would have been in or near Beirut. Does anyone know anything about such a camp? Many thanks to any who respond (who may do so off the list, if you desire), Ellen Fleischmann (again) efleischmann1@udayton.edu -- Department of History University of Dayton 300 College Park Dayton, OH 45469-1540 USA
