I am looking to locate the Alexandria municipality records for an upcoming
research trip to Egypt.

Municipale are the two key series I am after, for the years 1914-1923.
They have been digitised for the year 1903, and examples can be seen here:

They were consulted by Robert Ilbert and Ilham Khuri-Makdisi at the
Municipal Library of Alexandria, and were there at least until the year
2000.

I have not managed to confirm whether they are still there, and it has been
suggested to me that they were moved to Cairo. I cannot however find them
on the Egyptian National Archives online catalogue, and have been told they
are not in the new Alexandria Library either.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of these papers, it would
be most gratefully received.
