Hi,

The Office of Public Partnerships at UNICEF has a group of people dedicated
to promote "sports for development" . The rationale is to use of sports for
various development-related activities: promoting gender equality, peace
building, HIV/AIDS awareness, chidlren's rights, etc.

I am sure your student can find various documents at the UNICEF web page and
even contact some country representatives about their experiences.
