Dear all,

    The annual meeting of the Rocky Mountain Council for Latin American
Studies will be held in Boulder, Colorado, Wednesday, April 7, through
Sunday April 11, 2010.  I am willing to organize, chair, and present a paper
at a session on foreign relations.  Ideally, there would be two other paper
presenters and a commentator.  Should there be four papers on the session,
however, we could leave the comments to the audience and ourselves.

    My area of expertise is U.S.-Latin American relations.  (I have written
extensively about drug control, and the 1920s and 1960s.) My paper will
concern Cuba and the superpowers from the 1962 missile crisis through the
Angolan conflict in the mid-1970s.

   I invite anyone from grad students to senior scholars to join the panel.
