Dear colleagues, This is a friendly reminder that The Bodhi Tree and the Orchid: A Symposium in Honor of Catherine B. Asher and Frederick M. Asher will be held on Saturday February 15, 2014, at the University of Chicago. The celebratory symposium comprises a day of papers by the Ashers' former students, examining art and architectural history from the fourteenth century to the present, Spain to Sri Lanka. The dinner following will be held at the University of Chicago's International House. The symposium is free of charge; the celebratory dinner that evening costs $18 to attend. There are still a few seats left, but seating is limited. You can register for each event separately through the symposium website: http://ashers2014.wordpress.com/ The website also contains additional information on the program, the venues and how to get there. We look forward to celebrating the Ashers' continuing careers with friends and colleagues. Please contact us with any questions. Rebecca M. Brown and Deborah S. Hutton Rebecca M.
