2010 HIAA MAJLIS

Call for papers

The Historians of Islamic Art Association (HIAA) will hold its 2010
annual majlis (meeting) to be held Saturday, 13 February 2010, 9 am –
2, at the University of Chicago, Cochrane Woods Art Center, room 157,
5540 South Greenwood Avenue, Chicago, IL 60637.

The majlis will begin with a program of 4 presentations on current
research in Islamic art, followed by a business meeting.

HIAA members are invited to submit proposals by e-mail for 20-minute
presentations in the form of a one-page (maximum) abstract by 1
December 2009 to: Persis Berlekamp (berlekam@uchicago.edu).

Graduate students whose papers are accepted for the HIAA majlis are
eligible to receive a $500 travel grant from HIAA. For more information
