CALL FOR PROPOSALS/PAPERS:
Preservation North Dakota invites proposals of presentations and sessions for
the annual Historic Preservation Conference. Themed "Partners in Preservation,"
the conference will be held in Dickinson, North Dakota, May 7-9, 2010. We
invite a broad range of proposals that may include educational or poster
sessions and field work demonstrations, with an emphasis on hands-on
preservation projects and techniques.
Possible sessions may include:
*Preservation Basics: A "How to" Guide
*Funding Preservation Projects
*National Register Nominations
*Marketing Preservation through Heritage Tourism
*Developing & Sustaining Non-profit Organizations
*Historic Homes: Buying, Selling, & Adaptive Reuse
*Preservation Success Stories
Other topics may include:
*Archaeology
*Local History
*Local Architects & Architecture
*Art & Culture
*Rural & Urban Issues
*Renaissance Zones
*Green Buildings
Submissions must include:
*Title of Presentation/Session & Brief Description (100 word maximum, for
publication in conference program)
*Presentation/Session Format (single presentation, panel, etc.)
*Brief outline of presentation
*Presenter(s) Name(s), Biographical Information, & Photo (for publication
in conference program)
*Equipment Needs (projector, screen, laptop, speakers, etc.)
*Primary Contact Information (Name, Address, Email, Phone, Fax)
Proposals must be received by 5:00 p.m. CST on Monday, January 11, 2010.
Electronic submissions will be accepted as PDF files. Please send photos as
JPEG files.
