A reminder that Professor Waldo Martin of the history department at the
University of

California at Berkeley will give the 2009 Thornbrough Lecture at 4 p.m. Friday,

November 13, 2009, in Jordan Hall 141 at Butler University, Indianapolis. The

lecture is free and open to the public.



Martin's talk will be "'Be Real Black for Me': Black Cultural Politics in the

Black Power Era." A reception will follow the talk, which is sponsored by the

Indiana Association of Historians, and the Butler University Department of

History and Anthropology.
